USF welcomes Megan Wick

2013 Sep 3

The University of St. Francis (USF) recently welcomed Megan Wick of Lombard, IL along with more than 440 new undergraduate students to its Joliet campus for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Those students include the largest freshman class in school history. The Class of 2017 also is the most selective class with an average ACT above a 23 and an average grade point average of 3.43.

The freshmen are joined by about 200 transfer students who come from a number of Chicago-area community colleges.

USF gives families an "exceptional educational value," said Charles Beutel, vice president for admission and enrollment services. Students also benefit from small class sizes, one-on-one guidance from faculty members and the variety of internship opportunities with major companies in the Chicagoland area.

"Families are looking for not only high quality academic programs but also affordability," he said. "They're finding that at USF."
