USF Student Ross McCallister Serves as Saints Ambassador

2013 Jan 7

Forty University of St. Francis students are serving the university community as Saints Ambassadors during the 2012-2013 school year.

Members of the Saints Ambassador Corps assist the Admissions Office with recruiting new students and providing top notch customer service for all visitors.

"Each of them has great passion and pride for USF, and it is conveyed in their interactions with our prospective students and guests," said Annette Jelinek, Welcome Center coordinator and advisor for the organization. "They provide much more than a campus tour. They share their stories and experiences of what it's like to be a student at USF."

All members are interviewed and selected by the Admissions Office. They are trained to give tours, phone prospective students and host overnight guests. They also work a variety of campus events.

This year's roster includes:

Ross McCallister, of Joliet, Ill.

The University of St. Francis in Joliet serves 3,400 students nationwide, offering 44 undergraduate programs, four adult degree-completion programs, 18 graduate programs and two doctoral programs.
