USF Student Cydney Weisflog Volunteers Time at Regional Food Bank

The University of St. Francis men's and women's basketball teams recently volunteered at the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Cydney Weisflog of Oak Creek, Wisc. was among the USF student-athletes who volunteered.

The men's team packed more than 1,700 pounds of granola, while the women's team checked dates on bread and packed a variety of donated food items to be distributed throughout the Chicagoland area.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank, located in Geneva, Ill., serves 13 Chicagoland counties and serves more than 61,000 people per week.

The University of St. Francis in Joliet serves 3,400 students nationwide, offering 44 undergraduate programs, four adult degree-completion programs, 18 graduate programs and two doctoral programs.
