Ivette Albarran Attends the 30th Annual National Conference of USHLI

Twenty-eight USF students are attending the 30th Annual National Conference of USHLI (United States Hispanic Leadership Institute) on Feb. 15 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in Chicago.

Ivette Albarran, of Harvey, Ill., attended the event.

The event annually attracts leaders from over 40 states and 1,000 affiliated groups and organizations to celebrate our Hispanic heritage and further empower our communities, said Ingrid Goobar-Szleifer, assistant professor for English and foreign languages.

The USHLI conference is the largest cross-generational Hispanic conference in the nation, attracting students, young professionals, career professionals and senior citizens. Conference participants come together to develop and strengthen their leadership skills and to grow as servant leaders.

The University of St. Francis in Joliet serves 3,400 students nationwide, offering 40 undergraduate programs, four degree-completion programs and 15 graduate programs, including two doctoral programs.
